    Prior to attending an individual or group session, we require a 60 minute initial consultation appointment where we will do a postural analysis, body composition test and introductory session if you wish, and determine your goals so that your sessions can be more tailored for you. The initial assessment fee is $75.

  • 3. How can I apply for sessions at TSF with an ICBC insurance?

    At Three Step Fitness Pilates and Phyio Clinic, we have directed billing system with ICBC. Therefore, all you have to do is provide us with your ICBC claim information to the link below.

      • Have you ever done active rehab/physio sessions with this claim number?

  • 5. I have severe lower back pain and doctor recommend me to do core exercise. I have tried to do it by myself and it still hurts. where could I start?

    When a specialist recommends exercise therapy to strengthen your core, it can often be a vague recommendation. However, we are experienced in guiding patients through this process in the safest and most effective way possible. We know how to start you off and will be there to guide you through each step of the process.

    Plus, there could be various reasons for spinal injury or pain, but the approach to finding a solution is generally the same. We cannot reverse the damages caused by degenerative disc or some accumulated physical stress events form the past, but we can work to restore the basic function of the soft tissues and adjacent muscles and joints that support the structure of the spinal movements step by step.

  • 6. Can I learn exercises in a physiotherapy session?

    - Yes. from the aspect of exercise therapy, our physiotherapist will educate and guide you on how to do exercises based on biomechanics and physiology.

    Therefore, you can move efficiently and feel better after a workout.

    The following exercise therapy sessions are available:

    • Physiotherapy integrative Clinical Pilates

    • Physiotherapy integrative Active rehab session

    Exercise Therapy sessions are designed to focus on the therapeutic aspect of the exercises through Physical therapy sessions. Please let us know in which specific area or with what concerns you are seeking physical therapy for? Our Physiotherapist needs to assess and prescribe specific exercise programs for your needs.

    Clarification: Exercise therapy sessions are not considered fitness program. If you are interested in continuing with Fitness and Pilates, We are happy to provide you with more options, such as Unlimited year group passes!

  • 7. What are the payment options for personal training sessions or classes?

    - There are pre-authorized credit card payment plans for packages and drop-in payment for classes.

  • 8. Is there a Drop in class option available?

    - Yes. Open an account with us. Once you enter your credit card info, you can book for yourself and do Drop-in classes. Package purchases receive a 5% discount and there is no credit card info registration.

  • 9. Is there a trial session available? (what is the initial assessment?)

    - We offer an assessment and introductory session with $75 which includes following:

    1. Body composition analysis (If desired)

    2. Postural analysis (Both in Static and Kinetic)

    3. Fitness level diagnosis

    4. Nutrition intervention (If desired)

    5. Core activation and Introduction of Core stability and Mobility

  • 10. What does "Three Step Fitness" mean?

    Three Step Fitness demonstrates the three different stages of fitness level based on science.

    Step 1: Stability and Mobility

    Step 2: Movement

    Step 3: Load

    It is a fundamental philosophy of human physiology in physical training. Without a strong foundation, people will easily get injured and experience limits.

    The Three Step Fitness and Pilates method is effective and efficient to aid in all your fitness endeavours.

  • 11. What members can expect in classes and Private session?

    Members attend private sessions or small group classes for pain prevention, health enhancement and weight loss.

    Members also complete customized exercise program with supervision and receive health education and behavior modification coaching.

  • 12. Will Pilates help with me losing weight?

    Pilates will not directly help you lose wight. However, it is a great tool for helping you regain bodily balance and stability, indirectly helping you with weight loss targeted fitness sessions and accelerating the progress to reach your goal. In other words, it would be best to integrate both high intensity fitness training and Pilates.

  • 13. Do I have to make reservations for Pilates/fitness classes in advance?

    Due to limited amount of availability, we always encourage our members to book their classes in advance with one of our staff. For example, you can reserve to attend our Monday, Wednesday Pilates classes and fitness class on Saturday regularly so that you can secure your spot. Cancellations can be made with a 48 hour notice.

  • 14. Are there any designated parking stalls?

    You can always park in front of the studio for up to one hour. For parking spots in the back of the studio, you can park in stall number 15 and 18. 19,20,21 after 4pm.

    If those spots are full, you can also park in the parking lot 20 meters away from our studio beside the city parking lot. Please ask us for further instruction upon arrival.

  • 15. Are there any promotions for new clients? Is the Introductory session necessary when I am not new to exercise/pilates?

    New members can get 10% discount for any package purchases upon introductory session and registration.

    The introductory session is highly recommended for everyone regardless of experience. During the initial assessment, we analyze your posture and elaborate on what may have caused the postural deviation whether it be a major or a minor problem. As it is very common to see even trained individuals not being familiar with the fundamental human movements and maximizing movement efficiency, we always begin with the introductory session for everyone who is new to our studio.

    The introductory session also includes the following:

    • Medical Grade Body composition Analysis

    • Postural Analysis (Static and Kinetic)

    • Nutrition intervention (If desired)
