  • 11. Will Pilates help with me losing weight?

Pilates can support your weight loss journey by improving strength, mobility, posture, and body awareness. However, Pilates alone may not be the most direct approach for significant weight loss.

For the best results, we recommend combining Pilates with fitness training and proper nutrition. Pilates helps build a strong movement foundation, improve stability, and enhance exercise performance, while higher-intensity training and nutrition strategies can help you achieve your weight loss goals more effectively.

For clients looking for a more targeted approach, we also offer a Body Sculpting Program that combines fitness training and nutrition coaching to support weight management and body transformation goals.

  • 17. I have severe lower back pain and my doctor recommend me to do core exercise. I have tried doing these exercises by myself, but it still hurts. What should I do?

When a specialist recommends exercise therapy to strengthen your core, it can often be a vague recommendation. However, we are experienced in guiding patients through this process in the safest and most effective way possible.

We know how to start you off and will be there to guide you through each step of the process. Plus, there could be various reasons for spinal injury or pain, but the approach to finding a solution is generally the same. We cannot reverse the damages caused by degenerative disc or some accumulated physical stress events from the past, but we can work to restore the basic function of the soft tissues and adjacent muscles and joints that support the structure of the spinal movements step by step.

  • 18. Can I learn exercises in a physiotherapy session?

Yes. Through exercise therapy, our physiotherapist will educate and guide you on how to do exercises based on biomechanics and physiology. Allowing you to move more efficiently and feel better after a workout.

The following exercise therapy sessions are available:

    • Physiotherapy integrative Clinical Pilates

    • Physiotherapy integrative Active rehab session

Exercise therapy sessions are designed to focus on the therapeutic aspect of the exercises through physical therapy sessions. Please let us know in which specific area or with what concerns you are seeking physical therapy for. Our Physiotherapist will need to assess and prescribe specific exercise programs for your needs.

To clarify, exercise therapy sessions are not considered fitness program. If you are interested in continuing with fitness and Pilates, we are happy to provide you with more options, such as the unlimited year group pass!

  • 19. What does "Three Step Fitness" mean?

The name Three Step Fitness represents our science-based approach to physical training, built around three essential stages of movement development:

    Step 1: Stability & Mobility
Building a strong foundation by improving body control, joint mobility, and movement quality.

    Step 2: Movement
Developing proper movement patterns and coordination to help you move efficiently and confidently.

    Step 3: Load
Progressing to resistance and strength training while maintaining proper technique and control.

Our philosophy is based on the fundamentals of human physiology and exercise science. By developing a strong foundation before increasing intensity, we help clients improve performance, reduce the risk of injury, and achieve their fitness goals more effectively.
